Sizing & Fit Guide Under Armour was founded in 1996 by Kevin Plank, a former University of Maryland football player-turned-entrepreneur who was tired of sweating through his T-shirts at practice. Plank set out to create moisture-wicking sports apparel that would keep athletes cool and dry while they exercised.
